I simply don’t get people who want to accept Jesus’ teachings as wonderful, but think belief in Jesus’ resurrection is woeful. Follow Him but don’t worship Him?

“Would you take investment advice from someone who went bankrupt?” Why would you take life advice from someone whose life was an abject failure? It doesn’t make sense.
If Jesus’ life ended on the cross, no resurrection – all His advice on how to live, how to arrange society, how to create a wonderful world, is demonstrably false. At its most important test, it failed.
But that’s the point. The only reason anyone resurrected the words of Jesus – and sought to live by them; create a community based on them – was because they knew the body of Jesus had been resurrected!
His words were vindicated. They were the way to eternal life. I’m sold.
