I’m getting close to 30 years of marriage! Where have the years gone?

Trying to work out why our marriage has worked is a difficult thing, and there are many factors. One thing I’ve come to realise is that Becky and I challenge each other. We don’t let each other get away with stupid things, selfishness or obsessive behaviour.
We’ve worked out, by trial and error, and being committed to being kind to the other, how to work through our issues.
Don’t imagine we do it perfectly; that we don’t upset one another at times. That I don’t pout and sook. But we do it. We push through. We say sorry, forgive, make up, and grow a little each time.
What a blessed thing to aim for together in your relationship.
