Many of our personal problems can be traced back to the way we were parented. Were we encouraged or ignored? Loved or Abandoned? Emptied of ego, taught to move from wants to needs? To care for others?

The research around this is challenging. Often what we need is re-parenting. Who will do that for us? Government, police, justice system. You really don’t want to be re-parented by the justice system!
Too often we rely on our partner to parent us, which isn’t healthy!
Is this why God invited us to call him Father? If there is anyone you do want to re-parent you in your adult years, it’s God.
The God who loves you, forgives you, has time for you – can parent you in adulthood. That’s something to grab onto with both hands.
