Owning your problems

I’ve worked with a number of people who had issues – they couldn’t hold a job, or a relationship. No-one would let them lead.

And when asked, it was always someone else’s fault. Four jobs in 12 months? Denial!

It’s psychology 101 – until you’re willing to own your problems, you can’t fix them.

Am I saying everything is your fault? No, sometimes you do have a bad boss, sometimes the system is twisted – but when issues repeat, you need to ask, “Is it me?” or bad luck is just going to keep finding you.

There are two types of people in this world. When things go wrong the first group say, “Look at them!” The second group ask, “Was that me?” Strangely, less things go wrong for the second group.
