The male treatment of women has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately, and sometimes the church has been complicit in that.

The Bible starts and finishes it’s discussion of males and females like this…
“So God created humanity in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female He created them.” – Genesis 1:27
“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the vulnerable partner, and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.” – I Peter 3:7
The Biblical view is of woman as co-heir of the promises of God. Equal status and standing in creation. It’s a remarkable vision for our times.
