Medical access

Have you taken you pet to the vet recently? Isn’t it hugely expensive!?

You know why don’t you? There is no Medicare for animals in Australia. You have to pay what it actually costs to treat your pet – and my understanding is that vets and vet nurses are paid a lot less than human medial staff.

We have no idea how expensive medical treatment in Australia is. The government – and the taxpayer, cover it for everyone! Thank God!

Something to be immensely grateful for, and patient with. How good it is. Imagine if there was no Medicare.

Don’t forget to thank the ambos, the nurses and doctors who treat you. Treat them well as they treat you. And be kind to vets too!
