It was torture. I couldn’t believe how hard and frustrating it was. We couldn’t communicate with our members through email. We found it hard to do any research. What did people do before Google? Why, even finding phone numbers was frustrating. Where did we put the yellow pages?
I mean, I had to walk to the room next door to talk to my secretary – I had never done so much exercise!
I went home when I really needed to get something done. The internet was working at home!
How quickly the world has changed. How quickly most of us have adapted, and forgotten those old skills.
How scary that sounds.
