I can understand why people think Christians are delusional. Have you heard how we speak? “Trust God despite the circumstances.”

We trust that God is there even when we don’t see it – especially when we don’t see it. There’s a word for that – delusional. Trust that God loves you when He’s letting you down?
I would think that too. Why trust in a God who doesn’t protect you from the tragedies of life? Except for this…
Jesus lived the most God-honouring life, trusting God even through the darkness and the apparent abandonment of the cross. Jesus’ trust was rewarded with resurrection.
I can trust God through the darkest of times – through disaster, disease, even death – because Jesus did. With God, not even death is the end. Not delusion; trust based on history-redefining action.
