How do you talk to yourself? Internally, when no-one is around. Do you put yourself down, hold yourself to higher standards than you hold anyone else too? Encourage or criticise?

Psychologists tell us that our own self-talk can be devastating to us. Often echoing voices or unfounded beliefs from our childhood, our self-talk can cause depression, self-doubt, self loathing.
Listen to your self-talk – you may be shocked at what you say to yourself. You might still find it difficult to change such self-talk.
Christians believe that, despite our flaws, God loves us. That He calls us His own. That we are fearfully and wonderfully made; yes, all of us. When you fill your mind with God’s truths not your own twisted self-talk, it can be life transforming.
Not an ego trip, but understanding the truth about yourself – beloved of God!
