I’ve got a friend who comes from overseas. They brought their parents to visit, and it is confronting thing. They walked into a supermarket and were totally overwhelmed. The shelves are full of the most astounding things.

Fruit and vegetables they might come across once a year, produce they have never seen before. All looking perfect, all within their financial reach.
Brightly coloured boxes of things they have never heard of, and the refrigerators full of more meat than kings and queens would ever see. They are stunned at our affluence.
I am stunned when I hear their story and imagine that question they are too polite to ask – ‘Why don’t you share this? Why aren’t you sharing this? We know hundreds starving to death!’
No wonder thousands risk their lives to come here. What am I willing to risk to help a few of them out?
