His son takes longer to return than expected, but when he arrives the DJ is hired, catering called in and the servant goes out to get the guests.
The guests start giving lame excuses for not wanting to come. “I’ve bought a cow.” “I’ve got to renovate my deck.”
I used to wonder why all their excuses were so lame?
Then it dawned on me; God has invited all of us to a wonderful, eternal party to celebrate the return of His Son. What could be better?
On that day any excuse I give for not saying ‘yes’ to the invite is going to sound lame; really lame and sad.
Don’t make excuses; say ‘yes’ to God’s invite.
