Lost enough to be found

In many cultures that have rites of passage, the initiate is taken to an unfamiliar place and left there for a number of days.

Far from home and beyond any recognisable landmarks, the only way they had to orient themselves is to look up at the heavens that didn’t change. In such a situation you were supposed to become “lost enough to find yourself”.

Has this been COVID’s gift to us? COVID has made us so disorientated as a world we have a chance to find ourselves again, individually and as a society.

But it will take us looking up, not at the stars, but a little further, to the heavens.

If you are you feeling disorientated in today’s world, it’s OK. Take this chance to  Look up, and be reborn.
