The ‘God Complex’ – an unshakable belief in your own importance, resulting in inflated feelings of ability, privilege and corresponding mistreatment of others.

Many males in history have had a God complex. Nero, Stalin, Mussolini and, of course, Hitler.
What is most ironic, is that the one person who should have had a God complex, didn’t.
Jesus made outrageous claims about being equal with God! Yet He was the very antithesis of the God complex.
Jesus had amazing compassion to the least. He gave up all privilege, and He commanded His followers not to lord it over others, but to serve. This is where we get our modern notions of ‘public servants’.
Jesus had no God complex. If He really is Divine, then God Himself has no God complex. What an amazing God we have.
Perhaps we should call the condition a ‘Man Complex’!
