I’ve been talking about freedom recently, suggesting that freedom is not what we probably think – saying and doing whatever you want -but rather the ability to obey God; that is, do good and avoid sin.

Why do I think that? Think about that idea of avoiding sin.
Sin is anything that hurts us and others. The things in life that destroy relationships, the environment and ourselves.
Think about that! What if you could not sin. That is, whatever you did would be life-giving and positive, not life-destroying! That is absolute freedom!
You can do whatever you like, knowing it won’t cause pain or sorrow or suffering! If only I could live like that! What a perfect way to live.
Now you can understand why I think that’s freedom. Living life with the ability to avoid sin.
