Since it was founded back in the early 2000s, Sight has been freely available for all to read online. And that’s a policy we’ve continued to uphold as we’ve grown and evolved into the website you find today.
We’re continuing to publish Sight‘s content for all to read and, unlike so many other news organisations, we’re not planning to introduce a paywall. But, as with other news organisations, we require funding to support our work and to pay our contributing journalists and writers.
The support we receive from you, our readers, makes up the bulk of that. But only a tiny percentage of our monthly readers give anything by the way of financial support. So we’ve launched a new appeal – “Shine the Light” – to ask you, our readers, to support our work so we can continue to “shine the light” on stories from all across the world and provide a Christian perspective on global news and issues.
There are several ways you can support us financially. You can make a one-off donation, donate annually or make a monthly contribution (options for this start at as little as $A1 a month). To do so, simply head to this page – https://www.sightmagazine.com.au/subscribers – and select your option from the drop-down menu.
We encourage you to think of your financial support as not just being about your own access to news and issues from a Christian perspective. Sight reaches people right across the globe including many who are based in countries where access to such news is limited.
We also encourage you to think of your financial support of Sight as a partnership with us – you’ll be among the first to hear of new initiatives on Sight, including our development of a Sight app and future events we hold, and, of course, we encourage all our financial supporters to subscribes to our Sight Daily, Sight Weekly or Sight Prayer emails to keep up-to-date.
