More than 12 million Bibles were printed in China in 2015 with most destined for export, according to figures from a company described as "the world’s largest Bible printer".
Figures released to the China Christian Daily by the Amity Printing Company – a joint venture between the Amity Foundation and the United Bible Societies, show the company has printed more than 142 million Bibles since its establishment in 1988.
The Bibles are reportedly distributed in more than 70 countries and in more than 90 languages, including those of ethnic minorities and Braille.
