LINDT CAFE SIEGE SURVIVOR TO SHARE “MESSAGE OF HOPE” AT EASTER SUNRISE SERVICE IN SYDNEY

29th February, 2016

A survivor of Sydney’s Lindt Cafe siege in 2014 will share a "message of hope" at Wesley Mission’s Easter Sunrise Service in Sydney.

Louisa Hope, who was with her mother Robyn when taken hostage and who, like her mother, was wounded in the operation which ended the siege, will share her story at the worship service outside the Sydney Opera House on Easter Sunday, 27th March. Also present will be South Australian musical group The Borderers and the Wesley Impact! band while Wesley Superintendent Rev Keith Garner will deliver the message.

The service will be broadcast through the Channel 9 network across Australia and simulcast on Hope 103.2 FM and other radio stations around Australia. It will also be streamed live on the internet via www.wesleymission.org.au from 6am.

Other events being hosted by the Wesley Mission over Easter include the Palm Sunday Procession through the city (from 1.30pm on 20th March) and the Good Friday Journey to the Cross procession and drama held at Martin Place from 1.30pm on 25th March.
