Christians urged to “just pray no” to drugs over April weekend

Christians around the world are being asked to join in a global weekend of prayer and fasting for those addicted to alcoholism, drugs and other life controlling problems.

To be held over the weekend of 7th and 8th April, the annual “Just Pray NO!” event has been held every year since 1991 with people from more than 150 nations taking part.

US-based founder, Steven Sherman, said that across the weeked people will be praying for the release of those bound by substance abuse but also for “people to be delivered from pornography, gambling, obesity and smoking”.

“We seek individuals and groups which are willing to commit to pray weekly on behalf of the addicted and their families, and then join with multitudes of other committed Christians from around the world in prayer and fasting April 7 – 8, 2018.”

Resources and details on how to take part can be found at the Just Pray NO! website.
