SIGHT

Be informed. Be challenged. Be inspired.

TWO SIDES TO EVERY COIN

In virtually every argument or disagreement each party is right – and each party is wrong. This is true from the bedroom to the boardroom. Each party is partially right and partially wrong. That’s what makes arguments so difficult!

Each party highlights how they are right, and holds onto how the others are wrong.

We’re blinded to our own faults, and are scathing of the other’s foibles.

It takes real grace to be able to stand back from your own righteousness – to see where the other person could be right, and where you could be wrong – to then be able to give a little ground, or admit where you were mistaken.

But this is what it takes to turn arguments into opportunities.

What a top place to be, to have the grace and courage, to see the other side!

Paul Clark’s musings can be heard on radio across Australia and at atthetop.org.au.
