In the Old Testament the prophets had a phrase they used when God came near: “The Word of the Lord came to me”.

Over and over we hear this refrain as prophet after prophet tried to reform the people; warn the people; comfort the people; inspire the people. “The Word of the Lord came to me”. It is repeated hundreds of times.
Years later a misfit bunch of wannabees spent three years with someone many considered a prophet. But after those three years, and the turbulent ending, these 11 men said something remarkable, something world changing…
“The Word of The Lord came to us…in a person”. No longer secondhand. No longer subject to misrepresentation.
“The Word of The Lord came to us…in person”.
That is their testimony. It outshines all the prophets, and, if it is true, is world changing!
