I talked previously about how the marriage debate might affect a 15 year-old-boy, struggling with his sexuality.

I have other people in my community. Like Phillip the 75-year-old war hero.
He’s a gentle man who’s survived two wives. He’s still active in the community, giving his time to help others.
He was once a leader in society, but now the world he faces is foreign to him.
When it comes to the marriage debate, never in his wildest dreams could he have comprehended the choice society faces.
He can’t vote yes, not because he is a bigot or hates, but simply because marriage can be no other way.
It almost seems like the end of the world for him. It’s not the end of the world, but it is hard. Let’s be kind to one another.
