There were individuals who gave hints that there was more to this situation, but their opinions didn’t prevail.
It wasn’t until the advent of astronomy and mathematics that we understood the earth as round! This is much earlier than you might think, in the days of Pythagoras and Aristotle; before Jesus was born.
At the same time, for centuries humanity understood that God was one, distant and to be feared. From our tiny perspective it can sure feel this way!
But with the advent of Jesus we came to see something else. God was close, intimate and caring. Indeed God was One but so much rounder! God was three in one!
With Jesus we came to understand that God was no longer ‘flat’; God is ‘3D’!
