DAVID ADAMS reports on the odder side of life…

British Airways is getting in the spirit of the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by running a special flight on Saturday which will be crewed entirely by men named Harry and women named Meghan or Megan. The airline announced that a flight from London to Toronto on the day of the wedding will be staffed by 10 cabin crew all so named, including Senior First Officer, Harry Blake. Customers departing London’s Heathrow Airport on the day of the wedding, just a few kilometres from Windsor where the marriage is taking place, will also be given lemon and elderflower Victoria sponges – the same flavour as the royal wedding cake.

A motion sensing camera on the property of a US man has taken a photograph showing what some believe is an angel. Glen Thorman, who lives in East Jordan, Michigan, said he was “blown away” when he saw the image. “I couldn’t wait to send it to my wife and send it to [his pastor] Deneille,” he told a local TV station. “And I said ‘I got an angel, and my camera took a picture of an angel.'” Pastor Deneille Moes, of Jordan Rivers Church, said when he saw the image there wasn’t “any doubt” in his mind that he was looking at “something supernatural”. He posted the image, which he says wasn’t altered or edited, on Facebook. Others have said it’s possible an insect set off the motion sensor and that the figure may be a moth.

• Jon Ernst of Edison, Ohio, is a fan of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. A big fan. So much, in fact, that when he received a gift card from the grocery store where he works in 2015, he spent it all on the delectable cups, filling his bathtub with them before hopping in (and, of course, posting about it on Reddit). This month, he’s one of several fans of Reese’s products that have rewarded for their dedication in celebration of the launch of the new Reese’s Outrageous bars in the US – in his case that means providing him with a swimming pool of Reese’s products in his backyard. Others who are being rewarded include Texan Brad Whiteside, who created a custom fridge to keep his Reese’s from melting which also dispenses Reese’s Miniatures through the ice-maker. Reese’s are dropping off a refrigerator full of Outrageous bars in the centre of his Texan town on Friday. Yum!
