US Bible scholar, speaker and author Charles W ‘Chuck’ Missler, who passed away last week, will be buried in New Zealand next month.

Dr Missler, 83, “passed away peacefully” at his home in Reporoa, New Zealand, where he has lived since 2010, according to a statement from the organisation he founded, Koinonia House.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, who died in 2015, and two sons – Charles “Chip” and Mark – and is survived by two daughters, Lisa Bright and Meshell Missler, and eight grandchildren.

A sometimes controversial Bible scholar, Dr Missler, who had an informal association with Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa, California, has been heard by millions on radio stations around the world. He is particularly known for teaching on issues such as Bible prophecy and ‘end times’.

During a 30 year business career, Dr Missler served on the boards of a dozen companies. Graduating with honours from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1956, he served in the US Air Force, reaching the rank of captain and eventually working in the US missile program, before entering the private sector where he worked for a range of companies including the Ford Motor Company.

Koinonia House said a “celebration of life” service will be held at Real Life Ministries located at 1860 North Cecil Rd, Post Falls, in Idaho on 2nd June at 2pm while a funeral/burial service will be held on 16th June in Reporoa, New Zealand.
