The Australian Christian Lobby has welcomed a decision by Hilton Hotels & Resorts to remove all on-demand pornographic videos from its properties around the world.
Wendy Francis, the ACL’s spokesperson on the dignity of women, confirmed the decision would see all Hilton properties "porn-free" within three months.
"We publicly thank HIlton Hotels & Resorts for their decision to create a safe and positive environment for all customers," she said.
The decision was announced by the US-based National Center on Sexual Exploitation on Monday. It had previously listed Hilton Hotels on its "Dirty Dozen List" which names 12 mainstream organisations it claims contribute to sexual exploitation. The center has said Hilton Hotels will now be removed from the list.
