How come the world is becoming more intolerant when the word is on everyone’s lips? Perhaps it’s because that word is being used like a weapon not a healing balm!

Tolerance! It’s supposed to mean – “to live successfully and positively with those you fundamentally disagree with”.
Yet it seems to have come to mean “to accept that which you fundamentally disagree with”.
That’s not tolerance, that’s acceptance!
Tolerance does mean accept those who you fundamentally disagree with, being able to say, “I value you as a person, even though I disagree with your politics, religion, or football choices”. Anything less is cultural immaturity.
Let’s rediscover tolerance.
