• The Norwegian minister who oversees the change to daylight saving time in the Scandanavian nation has apologised for adding an extra hour to what has “already been a very demanding year”. As the country was preparing to set clocks back an hour last week, Iselin Nybo, the Minister of Trade and Industry, reportedly told the Norwegian News Agency that: “As minister of time, I strongly regret that 2020 will be another hour longer. This has already been a very demanding year for many”. But she did also urge people to enjoy the “brighter mornings” which occur as a result of the change.

How to play pinball when, given the coronavirus pandemic, you don’t want to touch the machine? A creative employee at an arcade in the US city of Seattle has reportedly come up with a new system for playing pinball machines in the arcade which makes use of pedals to do so. It took the man, named as Alex (aka ‘Sleepy’), two days to design the new system at Add-a-Ball Amusements in Fremont. It involves players sitting on a bar stool and using foot pedals to control the start button, launch spring and the left and right paddles.

A puppy with green fur has been born in Italy. Appropriately named Pistachio, the puppy’s colour apparently originated when the puppy made contact with a green pigment called ‘biliverdin’ while still in the womb. Sadly, however, Pistachio’s colour has already started to fade and experts say this is likely to continue.
