CeCe Winans album

Veteran US Christian artist CeCe Winans has had a double win at this year’s Grammy Awards, taking out Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Performance/Song.

Ms Winans won Best Gospel Album for Let Them Fall In Love and Best Gospel Performance/Song for Never Have To Be Alone at the 60th Grammy Awards held in New York City.

The wins take Ms Winans total Grammys haul to 12. She won her first – Best Soul Gospel Performance – in 1987 for the song For Always. Her previous win was in 2010.

Ms Winans described Let Them Fall In Love as her “best project ever” and said she was humbled and honoured by the wins. She thanked her son, Alvin Love III, who produced and co-wrote the album.

Other winners included Hillsong Worship, which won Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for What A Beautiful Name, Zach Williams, who won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for Chain Breaker, and Reba McEntire, who won Best Roots Gospel Album for Sing It Now: Songs Of Faith & Hope.
