International Bible organisation Biblica is partnering with world-renowned hymn writers Keith and Kristyn Getty as part of Biblica’s campaign to share the Bible with a-million-and-one children around the world with God’s Word during 2018.
The campaign will be launched in the US in December during the Getty’s forthcoming ‘Sing! An Irish Christmas‘ tour which takes in venues including New York City’s Carnegie Hall, Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs which has been Biblica’s home since 1988.
Stephen Cave, Biblica’s chief ministry officer, said the organisation was “delighted” to join with the Gettys “in their great calling to engage the global church in singing and worshiping through the promises of God’s Word”.
“We couldn’t think of anyone who more closely aligns with our vision of making the Bible understandable and accessible, or who more shares our heart for reaching children with its truths.”
Keith Getty, co-writer of the modern classic In Christ Alone, said he and his wife desired that their music would help people “encounter God in a deeper and more meaningful way, and as part of that to experience the life-transforming power of the Bible.”
“Having a special place in our hearts for children, too, we are excited to be able to join with Biblica in attempting to reach so many who haven’t yet had the opportunity to discover God through the Bible,” he said.
Under the Biblica initiative to reach a million and one children in 2018, the organisation is partnering with a range of organisations to make the Bible available in a wide range of formats – including audio and digital editions – to help children engage with Scriptures.
