US ‘apostolic pioneer’ C Peter Wagner dies

US theologian and ‘apostolic pioneer’, C Peter Wagner, died at the age of 86 late last week. 

Dr Wagner, who served for nearly three decades as a professor at Fuller Theological Seminary’s School of World Mission and had previously spent 16 years as a missionary in Bolivia, died on 21st October after he was admitted to hospital in September. He is survived by his wife Doris.

In an update on his Facebook page, friend Chuck D Pierce paid tribute to Dr Wagner as one of the “greatest molders of modern church history”. 

A memorial service will be held this Thursday.
