Max Lucado asks for prayer after being diagnosed with a serious cardiovascular condition

Texan-based Christian author and pastor Max Lucado has asked for prayer after being diagnosed with a serious cardiovascular condition.

In a video released on his website, Lucado said within the last few weeks he had been diagnosed with an ‘ascending aortic aneurysm’ after doctors found a “sizeable” bulge in the aorta.

“Though surgery is a possibility, none is planned at the moment,” he said in statement accompanying the video.”The current strategy is to wait, watch, and pray that the aneurysm doesn’t increase any further in size. I am maintaining my normal routines and commitments; my ministry is undisturbed by this news”

Lucado shared that he wanted to tell people so they would join him in “asking the Lord to let His perfect, perfect will be done”.

“Here’s the good news: I feel fine. I am under the care of an outstanding medical team, and most of all, I am in the hands of a good God,” he said. “For now, please know that I am fully trusting our heavenly Father. I am grateful for your prayers for me and for my family.”
