The Bible Society has published its own guide to the upcoming federal election, with information on where the parties stand – and commentary – on a range of issues, from disability care to indigeous issues and education.
Other issues covered in the online guide, launched early this month, include unemployment and welfare, foreign aid, climate change, same-sex marriage, refugees and asylum seekers and abortion.
The website features details of where selected parties – including the two majors – stand on the issues as well explanatory text and commentary from a range of Christians and Christian organisations.
The society says the guide – which it notes is not "definitive" – was created to help people "better understand some of the issues we think Christians care about for the upcoming federal election".
