The early chapters of Genesis are some of the most profound in Western literature, but they have been stolen by an overblown debate about scientific origins. I’m stealing them back!

The Book of Genesis makes the radical claim that the universe had a beginning. Most other philosophical systems posit a cyclical universe. Just like the water cycle, the universe ebbs and flows forever, from one state to another.
Genesis says there was a start! It wasn’t until the 1960’s that the scientific world came to the same conclusion. Before this, it was widely held that the universe was eternal. But the evidence for the Big Bang – a big beginning – became overwhelming.
The Big Bang theory was even resisted by some because it sounded too much like the good book!
How did such an ancient book get this right?
