Watching the Commonwealth Games and the football, I’ve been interested in how many times news crews have asked a winning athlete if their amazing accomplishment has sunk in yet.

Virtually everyone I have seen has said, “No, not yet, I think it will take a few days to really hit me.” Does it ever really hit them, and what are they hoping for?
I have a member in my church who played football for Australia. He says that when he reached the pinnacle of his sport, the satisfaction, the accomplishment, the completeness he expected to find, simply wasn’t there.
He climbed the mountain, and found nothing at the top.
That’s when he began his search for something to really fill the gap in his life.
That’s why he’s part of my church. Jesus really satisfies.
