Here is a profound truth we have almost forgotten: There is no life without sacrifice.

Whether it be the sacrifice of the chicken for your lunch, or the cow for your shoes, the efforts of the farmer for your bread. Life on earth is built on this truth – there is no life without sacrifice.
Look at the animal kingdom and the food chain. We try to hide from it or deny it. What did your parents sacrifice to give you life? Or our grandparents to ensure our freedom?
When you live on a farm and witness the sacrifice first hand, you realize what a gift you have been given – and that sacrifice is sacred. No wonder all religions are built on this truth. There is no life without sacrifice.
But there is an even greater truth…There is no eternal life, without a perfect sacrifice.
