I love it. When humanity first discovered – and was able to harness – electricity, they thought they had found ‘it’, the secret to life! The thing that animates people and animals. The Divine Spark!

Why, they could send a spark down a dead frog’s leg and get it to jump! An unconscious human would move their arm. All we had to do was work out how to jump-start a life.
That is where books like Frankenstein come from. A mad scientist, sewing body parts together, and hitting it with electricity to make it come alive! Galvanism to create a new Adam.
We soon realised that while were are electrical beings, electricity isn’t life.
Will we ever give up our futile search for the divine life with material tools?
The divine life has already been given through hammer and nail.
