At uni I dated a girl who became my wife. We lived 300 kilometres apart and wrote lots of letters to each other (this was before email). Those love letters have become treasures to us. I could read you some, but you’d find them boring. They were all about the mundane things of life.

But to us, these letters were the highlight of our week – because we were in love.
When I first read the Bible, I thought it was pretty boring, pretty mundane stuff, but then something happened to me. I realised the author of the book loved me. Everything changed; what was mundane became inspiring – because of love.
The Bible is actually God’s love letter to you too. What if you read it with that understanding? What was mundane might just become inspiring!
