Some of our logic around God is all haywire. God cops it at both ends of the philosophical scale.
For example, it is said: ‘When we consider how vast the universe is, it is stupid to suggest that God could be interested in our puny little lives’.
Yet in the next breath the same people say, ‘God obviously is uncaring since He doesn’t do enough to alleviating all the suffering in our world’.
You can’t have it both ways; knocking God for being interested in our anthill, and then for not being interested enough!
God is so superior to humans that it seems silly to suggest He would care about us, yet on the cross, God shows just how much He does care for us – He willingly shares in our suffering.
I don’t think that’s a God to be mocked.
