Family violence (II)

While we do as a society need to come out loud and strong against family violence, one of my fears is that it will just push it further underground.

The perpetrators will put more pressure on their partners to hide it.

We need room for redemption.

If you find yourself reacting violently to your partner, seek help. There are groups out there that can help and you can be transformed.

If your only role model was a violent parent, and you can feel this might be you before you even begin a relationship – get help now.

There should be no shame in our society towards those brave enough to ask for help. It will be the best decision you ever make.

Someone needs to say it; we all need help with something. No-one should do it alone.
