Holiness or wholeness?

Why is Christianity both scorned and praised in our world?

Some see Christianity as emphasising holiness; a purity you must guard.

Others see Christianity as emphasising wholeness; a completeness you are compelled to share!

In Jesus’ day people had the first view. ‘Uncleanliness’ or ‘sin’ was something you caught. As a result people who were broken were shunned in order to protect our own purity.

Jesus came along and changed everything. He touched the sick, broken and unclean, and instead of becoming unclean Himself, they were healed and restored! His wholeness was contagious! Jesus didn’t need to shun anyone!

Do you have a wholeness in your life that isn’t afraid of brokenness, but wants to let good rub off on others?

It doesn’t come from self, only from Christ living in you!
