One of the hardest lessons to learn in life is that just because you don’t get what you want, doesn’t mean they don’t care.

We think: “If my parents or partner or boss cared, they’d give me what I want.”
Remember the child screaming in the supermarket? They know this line – they use it to manipulate their parents!
“If you cared, you’d give me what I want!”
It’s because we do care that we sometimes don’t give people what they want.
If we don’t teach our kids this, they end up as very ugly adults!
We even take this attitude to God – “If God cared I would get what I wanted!” God is bigger than our wants, but that doesn’t mean God doesn’t love us. The cross shows God’s love is undeniable.
Do you know – love is not related to getting what you want?
