I must admit – I don’t like giving blood. It’s not a very pleasant task. I’m not having a go at the staff! The staff do a wonderful job of putting you at ease and supporting you in the task.
It’s – I just don’t like needles and I don’t like the sight of blood, especially my own, outside my body. It’s unnerving!
But back I go.
The ancient Hebrews wrote 4000 years ago: “Life is in the blood”. They saw blood as something sacred way back then – and we modern scientific types couldn’t agree more: life is in the blood.
Every time I give blood I save three lives. Wow. I literally save three lives; accident victims, cancer patients, pre-term babies.
If you can, why not give blood?
