Even though I write kids books about cars, I have a confession to make. I’m not into cars. I loathe washing the car (I wish it was yearly – my wife makes me help her do it more often than that).
Time for a clean? Paul Clark relates how the simple act of washing a friend’s car can be an act of kindness. PICTURE: Colton Sturgeon/Unsplash.
We went on holidays a few years back, and we drove out west, staying at a friend’s house at one point.
Needless to say, the car was pretty dirty, but we still had many miles to go.
Well, my friend who we were staying with, got up the next morning, while I was still in bed, and washed our car. His kids helped.
It really choked me up that they would do that for me!
Some people have been really kind to me over the years; I’m trying to be kind to others.
Cheers Russell Reynoldson.
