Christians talk about this thing called sin; that is, stuff that doesn’t gel with God.

Sin might have gone out of fashion, but you only have to watch the news to see that it is still an important idea.
There are two types of sin, and it’s very helpful for us to make the distinction.
There is stuff in life that is flawed or broken. Weeds in your garden. A birth defect, disability or diseases. These things aren’t the way they are supposed to be, they are the sad result of a fallen world.
Then you have open rebellion: People intentionally doing things that destroy life.
While everyone is capable of rebellion, most people simply live fallen lives. We don’t need to condemn them as rebels.
We all need redemption; we don’t need people to condemn us.
