How many stars on the US flag? PICTURE: Steven Wright/www.freeimages.com
• Embarrassment for the EU this week when US Vice President Mike Pence visited Brussels, the capital of Belgium and European Union hub. At a meeting with EU leader Donald Tusk, the two stood in front of US and EU flags and while the EU flag correctly had 12 stars in a circle, the US had 51 stars instead of 50 (one for each state of the US). Have they added a state we hadn’t heard about?
• Some things should be obvious when driving: don’t get distracted by talking on the phone or to others in the car; don’t put on your make-up or have a shave – and don’t wear a ferret around your neck. • Pop-Tart “pizzas”, Pop-Tart “tacos” and Pop-Tart “fries” are all on the menu at a Kellogg’s restaurant in New York City this week. Based in Times Square, the eatery – which opened last year and which normally serves varieties of cereal – has transformed into a “Pop-Tarts café” for just a few days to showcase the versatility of the toasted treat. Expect a sugar overload. But you’ll have to be quick – the café disappears and Kellogg’s returns to its usual fare on 26th February.
