Correspondent - Sydney, Australia

Peta was born in Wales, raised in Tasmania and started her career in journalism at local newspaper The Southern Star, then a small news bureau in Hobart in the latter half of the 1980s - around the same time she became a Christian. She subsequently moved to Sydney where she worked at Australian Associated Press as a journalist, sub-editor and news producer until its sale in 2020 after which she worked at the Disability Royal Commission. Remarried with five adult children, Peta doesn’t like fuss, hates injustice and her most frequent comment at home is “pop the kettle on”. Loves reading, cinema and walking the family dog.
