SIGHT ADVISORY BOARD

The Sight Advisory Board is a non-governance board established in March, 2020, to advise the publisher/editor on matters relating to the operations and reach of Sight. As well as editor DAVID ADAMS, initial board members include:

REV TIM COSTELLO
Tim directs Ethical Voice and is one of Australia’s most respected community leaders and a sought after voice on social justice issues, leadership and ethics. For 13 years until October, 2016, Tim was chief executive of World Vision Australia. He then completed more than two years as WVA’s chief advocate. Currently Tim is executive director of Micah Australia and continues to place the challenges of global poverty on the national agenda. He is also a senior fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity and remains spokesperson for the Alliance for Gambling Reform, which campaigns for law reform to prevent harm from poker machine gambling. Other positions he holds include chair of the Community Council of Australia, chief advocate of the Thriving Communities Partnership and patron of the National Youth Commission. In 2006 Tim was named Victoria’s Australian of the Year, in June 2005 was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO), in 2004, was named Victorian of the Year, and, in 1997, he was named as one of Australia’s 100 National Living Treasures.

MAL FLETCHER
Mal Fletcher is an internationally recognised futurist, keynote speaker, media commentator and author. Mal’s special expertise is in tracking profound shifts at the intersection of technology, leadership, ethics and generational change and how they will impact on the future shape of organisations and society. As a keynote speaker, Mal has travelled the world for almost 40 years, presenting lectures in major universities, conferences, summits and large events. He is in constant demand for his expert futurist and social commentary, with major media platforms including the BBC, SkyTV, CNBC, ABC (Australia), Canal Superior and many more. The BBC arts editor has called him a “polymath”. As the chairman of the London-based forum on future innovation, 2030Plus, Mal has chaired numerous international leadership forums, including summits within the German Parliament and the British House of Commons. He is the author of nine books, which are available in several languages. His most recent book is Fascinating Times, a social commentary for leaders who want to understand cultural change. Mal has pioneered several major leadership networks in Europe and Australia, including Youth Alive Australia, a large youth outreach and training organisation and the Strategic Leadership Consultation, which focuses on producing urban and social renewal in Europe. Mal and his wife Davina live just outside London. MARK JOHNSTONE
Mark Johnstone is the lead pastor of The Wave Church in Ocean Grove, a role he stepped into January, 2018. Mark has a passion to see each believer passionately walking in the call to reach this broken world with the love of Jesus. He has experienced, and wants to see each person experience, the transformation of the Gospel of Jesus in their life. His desire is to equip others to love and serve both the Church and the local community and to worship God in freedom and in truth. Mark is married to Lena and has two adult children.
