Tabcorp has reignited debate about keeping Good Friday as a day set apart with its announcement it will open its doors for betting on the day this year in Victoria and New South Wales. What do you think - should Good Friday remain as a day set apart?

In my opinion as a dedicated commited Christian Good Friday should be a day set apart due to the event that the day signifies. This day is one of the most sacred days for Christians and is not to be belittled by having gambling and sport operating. There are 363 other days of the year for these activities to be held. Christmas Day and Good Friday are the two most important days of the Christian calendar and should be kept holy. There is no excuse for despoiling these two days, especially in a so-called Christian nation.
