Christmas is the greatest celebration because it is of God's love for us. This love brings us joy, peace and hope and leads us to love others. When I was growing up Christmas was a family feast together and time to have fun and rest, long holidays. There was always lots of gifts, a time of giving. Going to church was a focus. Now enjoy celebrating Christmas with my own children and the focus is Jesus reading the Bible and celebrating with our families at church. So I guess no one Christmas stands out but it has always been my favourite time of year.

As I have been reading James, he seems to touch on this as well. For our faith to mean athiynng it must be evidenced by our works. The works do not save, faith in Christ saves. That faith however, if it is real will produce works. Works is the evidence of our faith.
