Ever struggled to understand your suffering or that of those around you? Two books that have helped me are Brother Yun’s The Heavenly Man and Joni Eareckson’s A Step Further. Both have given me new understanding and insight into suffering. Two very different reads in some ways yet both are applicable to our very lives as we bear the image of Christ. Great books to have on your shelf in time of need when just a chapter here or there can uplift and refocus as we battle our own trials. Doused with scripture, you will be encouraged to make the right decision in your suffering: will I abandon my sin and be like Christ in my attitude?

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him - James 1:12.
